OUR ACTIVITY

Pharmen’s study spaces

At Pharmen there are several places where you can study whether you prefer to be around a lot of people or have a quieter space. Downstairs there are chairs, tables and sofas in the “Stora salen” and “Apoteket”. Upstairs  there are several smaller rooms where you can study alone or with a couple of friends to prepare for the exam.

In the computer room  you can borrow the computer and as a member print documents. There is also the possibility to borrow some course literature if needed.

If you plan to stay here all day, you can store your meal in Klubbsälen’s refrigerator located in the basement. There are also plates, glasses and cutlery available for borrowing.

Pub

Welcome to Farmis pub Placebo! Here you can come after a (more or less) hectic day and unwind with friends. The menu offers a variety of burgers, pizzas and desserts. So order something to eat and drink, and enjoy! Naturally, there are also vegetarian and vegan options available.

If you are looking for more to do, there is a billiards table, dartboard and board games!

The pub is open from 17:00 on Wednesdays.

Caphé Coffein

Caphé Coffein is the café for those who cannot get enough of delicious and affordable fika! Come here to study, hang out, celebrate your exam or just recharge your batteries. The selection varies from week to week but always includes toast, cookies and cakes of different varieties. Of course there are vegan and gluten-free options! To your fika you can buy coffee, tea or juice.

Caphé Coffein is open every Monday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The cultural association Dragskåpet

Kulturföreningen Dragskåpet is Farmis’ fascinating, fabulous, fantastic orchestra!

We play everything from our own marches to unique arrangements of well-known songs. The association also includes the eminent (tragically inactive) Dragskåpsbaletten Dragetten, so if you feel like dancing feel free to join in. The association’s motto is: “We prefer playing to playing well” and those who want to be part of the orchestra are welcome to join. You do not need any prior experience to show up and play or dance with us. We rehearse whenever it suits everyone, but usually it is Mondays that need a little extra liveliness.

Best regards from perhaps the world’s best, and certainly Sweden’s best pharmaceutical student orchestra!

Reptilen

Farmis-Reptilen is the magazine of the Pharmaceutical Student Union. It was founded in 1957, making it a well-established publication. The magazine is published six times a year and covers everything that might interest us pharmacy students.

The editorial team, consisting of four editors and a responsible publisher, works on the magazine as a whole which includes everything from layout, research and planning. Holding a position on the editorial team offers the opportunity to create and collaborate on something together, but above all it provides a space for growth and for putting your own stamp on the magazine. In addition to student union news, the magazine regularly features articles on the Amöbaveckorna, reports from the Study Council, Pharmistoria, travel reports, interviews and photos from the grand events at the student union house. However, it is not just the hard-working editorial team that makes a magazine possible – it is created together with outstanding guest writers, photographers, advertisers and registry managers… and who knows, maybe in the near future, even by you?

Farmis-Reptilen primarily aims to be informative, but also to provide entertainment, culture and debate. The magazine reaches both pharmacy students and is also read by the faculty, interested individuals and the occasional curious employer. The magazine is published digitally but a few physical copies can be found at Pharmen for reading. Afterward, the magazine is stored in Redax’s office in the upper floor of Pharmen, where all pharmacy students are welcome to come in with ideas, thoughts and questions.

Publishing schedule

Farmis-Reptilen is published six times a year with two issues being Amöbaspecialen dedicated to new students and the introduction weeks. The planning of the magazines is done by the editorial team and they welcome any inquiries, thoughts or contributions to the magazine. Email: reptilen@farmis.se
